Spiritual honesty means, "To thine own self, be true."  It is one of the

pillars of greatness as it evokes a practical experience of God' love, and

the feeling that God and I are very close.  There is so much power in this

experience.  Unfortunately, instead of enjoying such greatness in a natural

way, most people forego this opportunity by making excuses.  Lying is

the obvious form of dishonesty but, actually, making excuses is worse.

While falsehoods are usually noticeable, it can be a long time before I

realise that I am making excuses.   A lot of life can be wasted by this

deception.  When you think about it, whatever excuse could there by

for not making yourself close to God?
