COLLEGE RULES
A. Admission
- Application for admission should be made in the
prescribed form within ten days after publication fo the results.
Application form & prospectus can be had from the college office on
payment of Rs. 5/-
- Applicants who are provisionally selected for
admission shall be enrolled only when they produce all the certificates
mentioned in the prospectus and pay teh first instalments of fees. Principal
reserves ther ight to refuse admisssion to any candidate without assigning
reason thereof.
- Any candidate who is found to have secured admission
by false representation will forth be sent away and shall forfeit the fees
paid.
- To promote healthy sutdent teacher relation and
to guide the students in academic and social matters a system of personal
guidence is provided to t he students by the staff.
B. Fee Rgulations
- Tuition Fees will be collected in eight equal
isntalemnts. This may be remitted either in one instalment in advance or
in three termly instalments viz. fee for a particular term paid together.
- Special fees, Caution deposit etc. should be
paid in lumpsum at the time of admission together with the first instalment
of tuition fee.
- Tuition fee is payable on the due date as given
in calendar.
- If any studetn fails to pay fees on the due date
he/she shall be liable to pay a fine of 25 ps. along with the fees on or
before the 10th day after the 7th consecutive working day of the month.
If the 10th happens to be a holiday the next working day will be counted
as the 10th day.
- If the fee with the fine 25 ps. is not paid on
or before the 10th day afater the 7th consecutive working day of the month,
an additional fine of Re.1/- (Rupee one only) will have to be paid. If
the fee and fines are not paid before the last opportunity given for the
payment of that instalment the name of the student will be removed from
the rolls of the College. If he/she is to be re-admitted he/she has
to apply for the special permission fo the Principal.
- caution deposit collected from the sutdents will
be refunded after dedcuting dues if any, at the completion of the course,
or when the student leaves the institution, which ever is earlier on production
fo the receipt.
- All claims for refund of caution deposits shall
be preferred before the re-opening date of the next academic year.
After this time limit he names of those who have not claimed the deposists
will be published in the Kerala Government Gazatte and if hte claim for
refund is not preferred within two months from this publication, the whole
amunt due to the students shall be permanently forfeited.
- Full fee concession is granted fo studetns belonging
to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Eligible Communities
and Forward Castes shall produce necessary income, Nativity and Community
Certificates at the time of admission.
- Students joining B.A; B. Sc; B. Com Classes from
other University shall pay the Matriculation fee also at the time of admission
and apply for recognition of the qualifying examination.
C. Transfer Certificate
- Application for Transfer Certificate should be
made in the prescribed form at least two days in advance.
- Conduct certificate will be issued only alongwith
the Transfer Certificate when the Student has completed the course.
- A late fee of Rs. 2/- will be collected from
those who apply for T. C. after one year of his/her leaving the college.
The date of leaving the college will ordinarily be the last day of his
attending the college.
- An additional fine of Re. 1/- will have to be
paid for the issue of duplicate T. C.
- Duplicate T. C. will be issued only on the production
of an Affidavit sigend before a Judicial Megistrate of First Class.
D. Dress, Behaviour and General
Discipline
- Students are expected to be cleanly and suitably
dressed while attending the college. Women students should
particularly observe strict modesty in dress.
- Students shall always hebave with dignity and
courtesy.
- When a teacher enters to classroom the students
shall rise up and reamin standing until the teacher takes his seat or asks
them to be seated.
- As discipline is hilghly essential to the smooth
working of the college each and every student shall maintain it at any
cost.
- Loitering in the corridors, creating disturbance
in the class rooms and such other undesirable activities which disturb
the calm atmosphere of the college are strictly forbidden.
- Absolute obedeience is expected from every student.
If any one tries to defy the authority of the Principal or any teacher
he or she will be punished.
- Smoking is strictly forbidden in the college
campus.
- If any studetn violates therules and regulations
indcated above the Principal has absolute authority to expel him or her
from the college.
- Students are forbidden from participating in
any meeting or agitation directed against the authorities of the Government
or the college.
- No meeting, processions or entertainments shall
be organised or any fund colleccted from the College or Hostel without
the written permission of the Principal.
- No studetn shall join or work for any organistaion
outside the college without permission of the PRincipal. If any student
is found guilty of indscipline, sucah as organising demonstrations or strikes
he or she will be immediately sent away from the college.
- No student shall disfigure the walls of windows
or furntiture by writing on them. If any one damges or destroys the
college property he or she will have to pay the cost of repair.
- Men studetns who have no class to attend at any
particular hour are expected to be in the library and woman studetns in
the ladies room.
- Women students should not remain in class rooms
when there is no class. They shall go the class from the ladies room only
when the bell rings.
- Every studetn is expected to take part in one
or more of the games for which facilities are provided by the college.
- Students are strictly forbidden from making complaints
in a body or from addressing any tuhtority collectively.
- The College magazine of the last academic year
shall be distributed before the notification for the College Union Election.
In case it is not published before the date of Election notification, it
can be released only after the College Union Elections.
- The following are not allowed inside the college
campus. Those who violate these rules shall be punished severely.
- To publish any materials such as journals,
magazines booklets, notices etc. (except during the college Union Election
eve for vancassing vote) without the prior written permission of the Principal.
- To conduct meeting by the students/students
organisations inside the College Campus without the prior written permission
of the Principal.
- To bring any guests, studetn organisation
leaders or politicians from outside for student organisational acitivites
inisde the College Campus.
- To display any publicity materials such as
banners, wall posters, notice etc. within the College Campus.
- Taking unauthorised collections from, the
students or staff,
- Entering other calssrooms, when there is class
or not.
THE USE OF ALCOHOL OR INTOXICATING
DRINKS AND CONSUMPTION OF DRUGS BY STUDENTS IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED
