Do you realise the importance of having a relationship with God?

Having had numerous relationships with human beings over a long

 period of time, the soul has now become so depleted and tired that it is

hardly able to remember its purpose, let alone achieve it.

Making God your friend will bring Him close but in fact it is important

not to limit your experience of God to just one kind of relationship.

Experience them all - God as your Mother, Father, Companion, beloved,

Teacher, Guru, Child.  Each relationship brings so much sweetness.

If any one of these is lacking, you will be forced to take that support

from a human being.  This is a mistake, because no human at this point

in time can offer you such consistent and unconditional love.  Don't

content yourself with a mere intellectual understanding of these

relationships.  Go into their depths and open yourself to the

tangible experience of each.
